Our School Day
Classroom doors open at 8:30am, with the official start of the school day at 8:40am – this is when the bell will ring. Registration will take place at 8:50am.
We encourage parents to drop children at either the green gate (EYFS/KS1) or the wooden gate in the car park (KS2) and allow them to walk independently into their classrooms.
There will be adults posted at these gates. If you have any messages for your child’s teacher, please pass them on to these adults, who will ensure they are communicated before registration. For more urgent or important matters, you are still welcome to speak with Mrs Brake. Mr Cook will also usually be available at the gate each morning. If we look particularly busy or you are in a hurry, you could hand us a note or you are more than welcome to send Mrs Brake an email and she will pass it on.

| 8.55 | Lessons begin. |
| 10.25 am | Morning break (20 mins). |
| 12.00 am | Lunch break. |
| 1.00 pm | Start of the afternoon session. |
| 3.10 pm | The school day ends. |
| 3.10 pm | Poplar After School Club meet. (various options are available, please ask for details) |
| 5.15 pm | Poplar Clubs ends |
The total time this amounts to in a week, including breaks but not after-school activities, is 32.5 hours.
A healthy menu of school meals is available on a daily basis, though children can bring packed
lunches if you prefer this. Children are also able to go home for lunch.
